Pandharpur Waari
The pilgrim's progress...walking over 20 days, with the Palanquin of great saints like Tukaram and Dnyaneshwar, to reach the holy town of Pandharpur, on the day of Ashadi Ekadashi...this is a mini Kumbh Mela with crowds swelling up to 13 lakhs on the last day. The river Chandrabhaga is on full flow and pilgrims take turns to take a bath before visiting the temple.
